The Work of Janet Donnangelo

Janet Donnangelo grew up in Miami, Florida, exposed to the beautiful plant life that is so prevalent in that tropical setting. After moving to Arkansas, the natural theme in her work blossomed and became the foundation for each new design. Vines may adorn a piece or erupt through vessel walls creating a dramatic effect. Nature abounds from her work as she combines wheel-thrown vessels and hand-made leaf interpretations to form her signature style. She enjoys creating both functional and decorative work. "Clay is such a versatile medium that holds endless possibilities."

Janet's work can be seen in Arkansas: Gallery 726 in Hot Springs and Art Etc. in Russellville. The office of former Governor of Arkanasas Mike Huckabee, purchased her work as state gifts for the Governor to present to foreign dignitaries on behalf of the people of Arkansas. In additon, her artwork is in permanent collections abroad including homes in Australia, Sweden, Japan, England and throughout the United States.
